Cameron purchased our sister company Spark Furniture in 1998. Keen to take advantage of his lighting experience as Product Manager for Thorn Lighting he introduced street lighting into the Spark Furniture offering, particularly to broad acre developers. 

A marketing graduate from the University of South Australia he was working in the corporate sector prior to stepping out on his own. 

Cameron is the managing Director of Pecan Lighting along with the other member of this group; Rowlands Metalworks, Spark Furniture, Defence Coating Systems.
Terry Cook

Graduating, in 1980, from London University of the South Bank in Building Services Engineering, Terry worked with Thorn Lighting UK at head office as Technical Assistant to Robin Aldworth, Thorn Lighting’s Chief Lighting Engineer.

 After returning to Australia, in 1984, Terry initially worked at Thorn Lighting Aust in Sales before joining Osram Lamps and Lighting as their National Product Manager – Lighting. 

In 1995 Terry formed a new lighting business, Teclight Design, representing RUUD Lighting and Holophane in South Australia. 

In 2004 Terry joined the newly formed business, Pecan Lighting, as their General Manager, a role he continues to hold.
Terry Howard

Terry has been involved in management, specification/design and project delivery. All of the many facets of commercial, industrial, hazardous, emergency and street/area lighting have been experienced and developed, to a skill set and knowledge base that few can match. Lighting design and computer aided packages have been utilised throughout his career. 

Graduating in Sydney University in 1990 and upgrades to MIES in the following years. Terry has been an active member of the IES, Council member and Convenor the Luminaire Design award. Currently is a member of the AS1158- LG002 Committee, representing the Lighting Council. Also, the winner of the inaugural Excellence in Lighting, for the Public/Street Lighting award. An active member in assisting and developing a condensed specification to assist lighting designers, in the area of migratory and endemic animals’ specie’s.

Sonia joined the Pecan Lighting family in August 2020 bringing with her over 10 years of Administration, Accounting, Shipping and Sales experience. 

Sonia has taken on many varied roles here at Pecan, she handles the day to day operations including Accounts, Factory Production, Lead times and Scheduling, Sales, Purchasing, Stock Control, Shipping, Customer services and all our Social media pages.

Sonia’s positive can-do attitude, dedication and enthusiasm has been an asset to our business and she has proven herself to be an outstanding and well-respected member of Pecan Lighting.
Bruce Steer
Bruce SteerTechnician
Bruce has been Pecan Lightings technical contractor for 30 years, he is a specialist technician designer, manufacturer and servicer of electronic equipment along with being a technical volunteer for TADSA, (Technology for Aging and Disability, SA.

Bruce is experienced in many fields including but not limited to: 

Specialty solar products, for example cathodic protection, solar regulators, Telstra remote area phone equipment. 

Special Area Light electronics. 

Solar RAPS (Remote Area Power Supplies) and lighting with Pecan Engineering in the APY lands, in the 1990’s to early 2000’s.
