Pecan Lighting’s NXT-S series light fixtures in black powder coat were chosen to replace the old lighting in the city center, not only for their aesthetic quality, but also because they provide ongoing power savings for the community. All new poles were manufactured in order to fix our LED lights on to, and a number of these poles are multifunctional and contain optic fiber and power outlets, which will allow council to retrofit them with speakers, controllable lights, etc. in the future. Once the new lighting was installed and switched on, the old ones were removed. As you can see from the map, the redeveloped area installed with upgraded lighting a was a major project for the town, and one truly worth the time it took to complete.
